Little Bardot Boreanz was unique among her fellow starbabies until Sandra Bullock gave her newly-adopted son Louis the middle name Bardo this spring. Spelled without the silent final t, Bardo is the name of a medieval German saint and also an Aboriginal name meaning water. Bardo is also a Buddhist concept meaning "intermediate state."
Other Hollywood glamour girl names on the rise include Sophia (now the national No. 4 name), Ava (now No. 5) Audrey, Grace and even Tallulah.

The middle name, Vita, is an unusual Latin name meaning life. Other names that mean life include Vivienne, name of one of the twin children of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and Zoe, name of the daughters of both Rosanna Arquette and Woody Harrelson.
Bardot's big brother has the relatively more sedate name of Jaden Rayne.
